Spring Cleaning Giveaway!

So today was work from home Wednesday. I really love these days, except they always go by way too quickly. When I'm stuck at the lab all day color correcting the hours drag. But now all of a sudden its 4pm and I haven't gotten anything on my list done for the day. I did however come up with the great idea that it was time to move again. It actually just started out over my morning tea that I thought it'd be fun to look at apartments on craigslist. Then I found one....Then I went to look at it, and the owners were there, and they were lovely, and so was the apartment. And it just so happens that our lease is up in a few days and we go month to month after that. Long story short I fell in love with a super cute little apartment with a big sunken yard thats pushed pretty far off the street. It still has lots of cute built ins and vintage tiles, but is maybe a bit smaller than the one we have now. However, my current neighbor is setting up his picnic table and grill and food right outside my living room window, like two feet away from me, as we speak. We aren't in the most private apartment right now and I need a better outdoor space especially with spring on its way. And I'd love more natural light...So long story short I'm trying not to get excited, but may be moving soon.

So that means I need to get rid of some stuff. I'm going to start that process by doing a giveaway of a favorite print from an image I took last summer. This one to be exact:

The print is rather large, a 16x16 with about a 2 inch white border all around. It would fit into a 16x16 frame or 14x14 if you trimmed the border. It was recently printed and never hung so its nice and crisp. In the spirit of apartment hunting and spring cleaning leave me a comment about the best place you ever lived and why and I'll choose a winner sometime this weekend!
Yay! Happy Wednesday
xo Kate

P.S If we move into this new apartment we can discuss the possibility of getting a puppy. Eeek! Rex needs a friend...

  4. Instead of the traditional route of college after high school, I decided I wanted a real taste of Rio before I left for the US, so I got an apartment with two friends, worked three blocks from there, which was also a couple blocks from the beach... almost every night after work I'd walk to the beach for dinner and a drink (of course) and then head home. The experience made putting off college so worth it :) can I get that amazing fabulous picture now??? :D

  5. I lived for a summer in Ellsworth, Maine. At a small cabin way back in a blueberry field and on the edge of a lake. Way back from the road with just a radio and a tv with RABBIT EARS! Now, if you know me, you know that this usually would NOT be my favorite place to live. Oh contraire! IT WAS! Not only did I throw the BEST parties, but I was tan and skinny (because of the neverending supply of blueberries) all summer long. Maybe I'll have to take you there someday :)

  6. This is a beautiful print! Your photography is lovely :)
hmm...i would say my mom's house in Fullerton, CA. Now that I'm married building my own home, as independent as I try to be from my family, it's not the same as my mom's actual home than just trying to build the traditions.

  7. The best place I ever lived was Westport, MA. I lived there and worked in Newport, RI for four straight summers. The combination of summer party life in a young New England town and relaxing on the beach in an old fishing-farming town was perfect! This ferris wheel reminds me of the colorful summer days and even more vibrant summer nights! It's beautiful. Great shot!
